Leading Hand

We are looking for a Leading Hand to lead a team of installers in the performance of pallet racking and storage system installations across various locations in and around Brisbane.

Competencies

• Has industry experience in pallet racking installation and the ability to acquire the relevant competencies in a timely manner as per the needs of the business
• Ability to organise and display leadership and management over crews of up to four unskilled persons
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Has advanced knowledge on the technical aspects of at least one group of industry products
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions, plans and drawings
• An ability to measure and set out work sites to drawings
• An understanding of Elbowroom Document Control. Ability to record and maintain accurate job reporting
• Advanced understanding and the ability to confidently demonstrate and use industry tools and equipment
• Planning and organisation skills, including the assessment and planning of job equipment and tool requirements
• Consistent on-site analytical abilities, including ability and willingness to identify and improve on problem areas
• Timely completion of allocated projects
• Customer communication and relationships
• Licensed to operate
  • Manual Motor Car
  • Forklift
  • Elevated Work Platform
• Current First Aider Certification, White Card or similar
• Proven ability and willingness to successfully train subordinates on all aspects of 2IC
• Will or has completed and is up-to-date with Elbowroom’s QA-Incident Training
• Will or has completed Elbowroom/ Correct Installs QA and H&S inductions
• Will have or has ability to implement and assess Elbowroom/ Correct Installs QA and H&S procedures

This is Full time position offering pay rates above award and above industry standard.
